I was delighted when I found this recipe years ago in The Book of Latin American Cooking by Elisabeth Lambert Ortiz, as it is closest to the sangría we enjoyed throughout Spain.
Sangría
Ingredients
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sugar (or, to taste)
- 1 bottle red wine
Instructions
- Combine orange juice, lemon juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add wine and stir until combined. Serve chilled with ice. Garnish with thin slices of your favorite fruits, such as apple, orange or lemon, if desired.
